Oct. 20, 2022 Satoshi Horino (D1) and his colleagues’ paper “Enantiodivergent Chemoenzymatic Dynamic Kinetic Resolution: Conversion of Racemic Propargyl Alcohols into Both Enantiomers” has been published in Chemistry – A European Journal and was accepted as a cover picture. Sep. 15-17, 2021: Shuji Akai chaired the 63rd Symposium on the Chemistry of Natural Products which was held at the Osaka City Central Public Hall and online as a hybrid style.

Aug. 4, 2021: Naoki Oka (2nd-year PhD student) won the Excellence Award for his presentation on “Development of Aromatic Boronic Acid Esters with Both Stability and Reactivity” at the 41st Young Scientists’ Seminar on Organic Synthesis “For Tomorrow’s Leaders in Organic Synthesis”.
July 8, 2021: The paper by Tomoya Nishio and Assistant Professor Kyohei Kanomata on “Direct nucleophilic substitution of alcohols using an immobilized oxovanadium catalyst” was selected as the cover art of European Journal of Organic Chemistry and also introduced in Chemistry Views.
July 1, 2021: Takashi Ikawa, former Associate Professor of Chemistry, and Akito Heguri et al. published a paper titled “Could London Dispersion Force Control Regioselective (2 + 2) Cyclodimerizations of Benzynes?” in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, and it was selected as the cover art of the journal. It was also introduced in the “Research Topics” section of the Osaka University Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences website.
